Description

Shot over two nights at the RAA Star party in Borrego Springs CA 4-5 Nov 21. with the TMB130 and the 2600MC with L-eXtreme filter.

Completely re-processed this time using PI. Used HOONormalization v5 script by Bill Blanshan to bring out the OIII better.
Also made use of BlurX, GHS, arcsinh, NoiseX, and StarX to create the starless layer.
Some curve work, a bit of advsharpening, and pixel math to screen the HOO stars back in.

2nd Reprocess: SPCC for color calibration and Bill NBNormalization script for color balance. Much happeir with this result.

Original effort

IC410 is a dusty emission nebula located in the constellation of Auriga at about 12.000 ly from Earth. It is part of a larger star forming region that also contains the Flaming Star Nebula. The gas structures in this picture are lit by the radiation from the open star cluster NGC1893 that lies in the center of the nebula.
